Oh yes Oh yes! Another awesome EP to be reviewed here today this time from Phutek! His latest banger new EP ‘Edged’ released on the legendary Carl Cox’s label ‘Intec’

Phutek has been doing the rounds on the Techno circuit with amazing productions that simply just do not hold back! With over 25 years’ experience and support coming in from the very best artists on the scene including Mr Carl Cox himself we have here today the awesome ‘Edged’ EP.

Phutek – Edged (Original Mix)

Power and lots of it! Really dominant subs rocking things as a solid foundation for the beautiful arps that roll along the top. Clean shiny hats add direction and rhythm. Simply great use of reverb adds to the depth of the overal track. Darkness pours over as the atmosphere really kicks into action midway when things settle allowing the power of the sub and some phatt almost dark trumpet styled synths to push through. An awesome overall EQ sees this track sitting comfortably strong at the top of any collection of tracks.

A progressive and satisfying set of sounds all gelled together with the arps being just as dominant as the power of the low end. This track could add a little ‘Edge’ to your sets with it’s intense atmospherics and beautiful arps.

Phutek – Prodigious (Original Mix)

Straight from the off, we have been introduced to drive! Strong almost pumping subs on the underside glued with a nice hard hitting kick drum. Power really pushing things along with an awesome set of industrial styled percussion. The breakdown arrives and the tension grows really strong with brilliantly produced pluck styled synth shots that have very neatly controlled delays adding depth and wideness. Everything lands perfectly safe on the drop keeping those delays nice and strong. The percussion remains sharp and the entire track as a whole rocks its way to a close.

With strong drive and intensity I can only imagine this track rocking the sub bins all over the Techno scene! Drop this track whenever you want to add a little power burst and really open things up.
