NY Kellen303’s OFFWRLD returns with a brand new instalment. This time, Lyeform from London joins in delivering his debut EP there under the title “Cow In Field.”

Across four tracks, there is an exploration through jungle, grime, techno and bass-heavy club music, deeply rooted in the UK underground entering also new directions.

“Tink” sets things in motion with a restless, stripped-back groove. There’s a familiar grime skeleton at its core with a futuristic edge. It’s dark, twitchy and built to move.

Things get considerably more hectic on the junglistic “Gallows”. This tune comes armed with rapid-fire edits, warped percussion and enough attitude to keep the pressure high without becoming predictable. It’s probably the most outright dancefloor-focused moment here.

The title track “Cow In Field” takes a completely different approach and atmosphere creating a spacious interlude that gives the EP some breathing room. Last but not least, “Bring The Rain” then brings the EP home with a playful mixture of Ballroom and Baltimore Club influences, filtered through a much darker UK sensibility. It’s an unexpected way to close things, but it fits perfectly with the EP’s anything-goes mentality.

All in all, Lyeform’s debut EP on OFFWRLD is a personal bass journey from the artist on different speeds, styles and formats without losing identity. A highly anticipated journey that will be available to stream and buy by the end of September.
