On January 24th we saw RoomTwo’s sold out launch night with Laynee in The Kasbah Social Club, Limerick.

Stellar visual effects, including smoke and lasers inside the venue to graffiti in the smoking area from local Limerick artists set the scene for the night’s debut.

The night was introduced by RoomTwo residents, Slav & SENAN. Their confidence in their choices really helping to generate energy in the initial moments. They started off slow with some tech-house, emerging then into techno as the room filled.

Following a solid debut set from the Limerick duo, Laynee stepped up to the decks in front of a packed venue. Introducing her set with the rolling drums of Mark Reeve-Temptation (Egbert Remix) she instantaneously captivated the room. From then on her blending of new-school and old-school techno selections had the roof lifting off of the Kasbah Social Club all night during her 2 hours no holds barred set.

A seriously impressive performance from Laynee and a great show all round. RoomTwo is definitely one to keep an eye on.
