We recently posted a review about Archies fantastic new 2-track EP on Marylebone Records a few weeks ago, and have caught with him since his numerous BBC 1 Radio plays and the huge interest in the tracks..

Mike Mannix: Archie, good to reconnect in these times. I think your new uplifting EP is an antidote for the grim reality out there?

Archie: You too mate it’s been a while but hopefully we are coming out of this now and can get back to real life. Yes, for sure I always try to have some meaning behind my music and the fall in love EP is has just made me go back to when I first fell in love with music and the pandemic really made me realise this.

Mike Mannix,: Once the inspiration hit you what was the process in the studio to lay it down?

Archie: I actually made this EP at the beginning lockdown and wanted to create and Old school EP with a new school twist. The process was to find some 90s and rave sounds and sample these to my taste.

Inner city – good life was a huge inspiration for the sounds I wanted to make

I think that has to be my all-time Favorite track.

Mike Mannix: I love the use of the massive classic rave synths from the early 90s, so much power and emotion still in them 30 years later?

Archie: Yes, I mean I fell in love with rave music when I was growing up and then 90s house took over. I started producing music nearly 6 years ago now and I always wanted that rave and 90s sound with the power of now. I just can’t get away from the rave synth’s lol

Mike Mannix: Whats your thoughts on the current global situation?

Archie: We are living in mad times and I don’t think any of us could have predicted this, but I really feel it will bring us all closer together, Especially in music.

One thing that will never die is music and one thing is for sure music saved my life and got me through the pandemic

Mike Mannix: What you got planned next?

Archie: I have just signed a single to a label I have been trying to release on for such a long time which is Sonny Fodera’s label Solotoko and another single later this year on a really cool label. At the moment I’m just starting to get my momentum back as are most artist without any clubs being open but I’m am really excited with some of the music I have ready and to even go to a party again.
