Techno has always belonged to the obsessives — the ones who study the roots, respect the originators, and put in the hours long after the hype fades. REOSC is one of those artists. Emerging from Dublin’s late-90s rave explosion, his journey began in the chaos of Temple Theatre nights and the seismic impact of Billy Nasty’s legendary Homelands set — a moment that flipped the switch and set him on a path far beyond the local scene. Armed with classical training, relentless curiosity, and a crate full of vinyl, REOSC built a reputation for fearless DJing, boundary-pushing performances, and an uncompromising dedication to the craft.

Yet while much of Dublin’s techno conversation drifted toward Berlin mythology, REOSC found himself largely overlooked at home. Now that journey comes full circle. This St. Patrick’s week, REOSC returns to Detroit for multiple performances across the city, standing as the only Irish DJ on the lineup — a testament to years spent earning respect the old-school way: through vinyl, dedication, and relentless commitment to the craft. Through his Dub-Troit vision, he’s now forging a bridge between Dublin and Detroit, proving that sometimes being ignored locally is exactly what pushes an artist to find their real place in the global underground.
